Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before engaging our services.

Effective Date: January 1, 2025  | Last Updated: December 2024

1. Nature of Service

Renowa Homes ("Renowa," "we," "us," or "our") operates under the Florida Handyman Exemption (Florida Statute 489.103). We perform cosmetic, non-structural, and minor home improvement work that does not require a licensed contractor.

Important Disclosure: We are NOT licensed General Contractors. Our services are limited to work exempt under F.S. 489.103, including but not limited to: tile installation, LVP flooring, interior painting, TV mounting, furniture assembly, and similar handyman services where the total order value does not exceed $2,499.99.

2. Service Agreement

By requesting a quote, scheduling an appointment, or engaging our services, you ("Client," "you," or "your") agree to these Terms of Service. A binding agreement is formed when you accept a Project Blueprint (quote) and provide the required deposit.

3. Payments & Deposits

  • Deposit Requirement: A 50% deposit is required to confirm your project and schedule the work date.
  • Non-Refundable Deposits: Deposits become non-refundable once materials have been purchased or ordered on your behalf. This protects against material costs that cannot be recovered.
  • Final Payment: The remaining balance is due upon satisfactory completion of the work.
  • Payment Methods: We accept PayPal (processing fees apply), Zelle, and Cash. All payment processing fees are passed to the customer and are not absorbed by Renowa.

4. Cancellation Policy

  • 24-Hour Notice: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment.
  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may result in forfeiture of the deposit.
  • Rescheduling: We accommodate rescheduling requests with at least 24 hours notice at no additional charge.

5. Client Responsibilities

  • Access: You must provide clear and safe access to the work area on the scheduled date. This includes removing furniture, personal items, or obstacles as needed.
  • Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate information about the scope of work, existing conditions, and any known issues that may affect the project.
  • Permits: For work that may require permits (rare under the handyman exemption), it is the Client's responsibility to obtain necessary approvals unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Utilities: Electricity, water, and other utilities must be available and functioning at the work site.

6. Scope Changes

Any changes to the agreed scope of work after the Project Blueprint is accepted may result in additional charges. We will provide a revised estimate before proceeding with any additional work.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • Renowa's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for the specific project in question.
  • We are not liable for pre-existing conditions, structural deficiencies, or hidden damage discovered during the work.
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by material shortages, supplier issues, weather conditions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

8. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be subject to mediation in Hillsborough County, Florida before any legal action may be pursued.

9. Modifications

Renowa reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
